Didn't seem like whining to me, just asking a question.

People like to switch country sides periodically, sometimes so they are on disadvantaged teams to find action quickly...a myriad of reasons really.

.

I see your point DREDger and you do have a valid argument also. I guess I have been too blind to see the truth.

In cases of a legitimate dweeb hunt, this is acceptable...:aok

By legitimate I mean to say that the huntee did or does something that prompts the dweeb hunt.

I think when you mean the mission is to capture TT island and take away GV fun...and as win the war map guys know, capturing the center islands is intragal to winning the map.

My fiance considers me and everyone who plays this game to be dweebs.

Personally I won't allow this activity in my squad.  I don't care if guys go play for another country or do their own thing for a spell.  Won't allow cross country communication of intell or dweeb hunting though (at least in so much as I would know about it)   Though I have been tempted in dweeb hunts cause some guys you know, just got it coming.

I think everything is acceptable to get us out of that bloody utarus map!

I'll second that, that map is about to make me puke, back n forth, back n forth...seems to be a stalemate in orange.  Half my squad went to blue last night just cause they couldn't stand looking at it anymore.

Before the flaming, smart bellybutton remarks and witted statements start flying.

All I want to know is, if anyone else finds this acceptable, normal. etc....

 Disclaimer:
The use ,reference, order and example of country names is pure unintentional

First ...

You would have to prove that that was their intent.

Second ...

I don't think you have the proof ... better yet ... I know you don't have proof.

Third ...

What would be the benefit of splitting to Rook and Bish to hit JUST Knights ?

If their real intent was to smash Knights, then logic would lean towards them all remaining together.

If they did split, then logic would lean towards them wanting to fight each other which means that they both (on different sides) were not all smashing Knights.

This has got to be a "I got an AK hair across my arse whine".

I was on the other night when AKs split to balance numbers. I flew with AKDogg and his group, and we attacked AKDG and his group ... was much fun until I had to log.

You speak of ethics and loyalty ... well I have been flying now for over 5+ years and have had many encounters AGAINST the AKs and many encounters WITH the AKs, and there is no other squad that comes to mind that takes to heart fair gameplay and ethics more than them.

If AKs split countries ... you can rest assured that they will not cross the line of fair gameplay. They are there for the fight and rest assured they will give you a fight you won't soon forget.

AKs don't need to spy/cheat to get the job done ... they have been around too long and know this game inside and out to have to rely on such tactis.

As far as a squad going to rook/knit to gang up on bish, I just don't see it making all that much difference.  Not to mention is wouldn't be nearly as affective as all staying in one country, then hording against whatever target.

If you think that is a problem though, consider these scenerios.

1.  A squad member goes to the enemy team to warn main squad body of CV locations, or when/where mission ups from.

2.  A squad memeber goes to enemy team, does a dot wingman on a hated opponent, then relays info to the rest of squad...ie,  so 'n so just took off from A24 in an typhie headed northwest.

There isn't any way to stop such activity, and it doesn't even have to be squads.  I have a brother who plays, and he has a cell phone as well, one could communicate info like that as well, independent of cross country text.

I think the only thing that prevents it is it just isn't all that much fun and takes a good deal of effort...most just want to up for a couple hours, shoot some bullets, then go do yard work or chores..hehe.

OMG the yard work... I gotta go................. :O

S!

i switch sides now and then.  there are alot of great folks on the other side and 99.9% of em welcome you.  i do move back if a squaddie logs on but thats just my preferance.  been here a long time and i only have seen just several instances that irk me and those instances involved a small number o folks who switch just to warn of cv locations or missions etc....

my opion is i find nothing wrong with half a squad switching.  sounds like they were adapting to an eny situation or maby just trying to find new ways to have fun.

my 2 cents

lol.  It's all part of the way things work.  HT makes a change for 'side balancing'.  Sooner or later, somebody finds a way around it so they can continue playing the game the way they want to.  In this case, a squad divides, half goes to another country, then they all attach the 3rd country.  An amusing work around.  Eventually, HT will make another change, then players will adjust and find a way around that too.
