I have no real complaints either. AH does take a small performance FPS hit as compared to XP on the same machine. Other than that my only actual "problem" is that IE7 very occassionaly decides it doesn't want to run but I consider something like that par for the course for a new OS.

Yes, I use Firefox sometimes, usually in Linux though. The IE7 thing doesn't happen often enough for it be a real problem.

The automatic switch of your computer's clock for DST should occur normally from then on for that time zone.

If you move and/or otherwise change time zones, you'll have to edit each different time zone individually.

Please Note: If you use MS Outlook, it must be updated as well, and a separate tool is available to do that as well.

having IE on a computer is a problem.

He is running Vista. Firefox on Vista has a ton of problems. I know, as I am stuck on Vista at work now. IE7 works much better on Vista than Firefox does at the moment.

if IE works so good on vista why does it run like crap on my pc (cant even get it to load the AH site right)

but firefox seems to work brilliantly for XP

Am I the only one in the world that hasn't had any problems with vista yet?
The only issues I've had so far is the muse and printer, and they both work now so I'm totally happy, as far as the zero and moss dropping fps, I'll trade that for the 85+ fps I get now.

The Vista forums are full of complaints about problems with Firefox. The Firefox guys are working on them. MS is releasing compatibility patches as fast as they can. The last patch fixed around 50 different applications. They still have a long way to. Drivers are on of the bigger problems.

I will never be able to print on our 2 year old Canon copier/printer, as an example. Nor on the HP Color printer either. I have to copy my print jobs to another computer running Windows 2000, then go to that computer and print them out. The only way that is going tochange will happen when we buy new printers to replace the ones we have.

The performance problems with Vista are due to the same hardware running XP Pro will run games about 25 to 35% faster than running under Vista on the same hardware.

If you were getting worse performance under XP, than you get from Vista on the same computer, then you had a very bad installation of XP Pro. It's not an opinion. It is fact. Just as an example. XP Pro had around 230 threads running at any given time. Vista has around 450 (after cleaning it up) threads running.

You cannot run more software without sacrificing performance. It is a physical impossibility.

skuzzy I can't help you with the Cannon printer, but for the HP go to HP's support website, and search for your drivers when it says it can't find any drivers, it should show you a file path to still make it work.

Which HP printer is it I'll see if I can find anything for it.

One of my printers is a six year old HP Photosmart P1000. No big deal printer but it works just fine. For this printer HP flatly states there will be no driver for Vista. As it was I knew this beforehand but it is still an obvious problem for alot of people. I don't love Vista, I don't hate Vista. It is what it is.

I don't think they're gonna make one for mine either, but as long as I can scan, print and copy I'm not buying a new printer, I just got this one 6 months ago.
