Looks like a gnarley crash Eskimo, but cars these days generally look worse then they actually are thanks to crumple zones, is he doing alright?

He’s fine.  He was a little bit sore the next day though.  He was a P-39/P-63 pilot and is still very sharp and pretty tough.  He was probably going less than 10 mph and the other car was going about 25.  They met bumper to bumper at 90 degrees.

Ermm well you know my 'auntie', she now works as bar staff at a local strip club (there are 3 in our tiny town). Being the curious sort I asked a lot about the runnings of said place.

She herself has earn't ~NZ$300 (about $210US) in one night in tips (on top of her hourly rate), and she isn't a stripper nor does she go topless there or anything. The top tips earning for a stripper there in one night is ~$2500 (~$2000US). An average good night a stripper will pull in around US$400. This does not include lap dance earnings. There is also absolutely no sexual acts involved either - as there is a brothel upstairs for that (its legal here) - the owners don't want to give away anything that could be paid for :)

Oh, and these strippers are OK... but nothing glamorous or anything.

nope.  rode the ambulance tho.  was totally pissed that my cell phone didnt have enough charge to take a self portrait snap with my head strapped down to the board.   heh.

really, its not as bad as it could have been.  not even close.  this was one of those coming straight at you very fast on the highway kind of moments and i am beyond blessed to be able to chew food on my own right now much less talk about it.  no broken bones, no cuts, just lots and lots o banged up spots where once there were none.  (and no...i wasnt drinking)

the worse pain is actually where the seat belt rushed at my body at full speed...breathing hurts a bit but laughing sucks so i am avoiding any of the current political threads around here.

moral of the story?

yay seat belts and air bags!  the people in the other car were wearing theirs too and they hit me straight on before spinning out of control, running into another car and going down an embankment i am told.

in the end...no one seriously injured.

i will be back to working on my feet again by monday; or so i have determined.

i was talking with mrs. 88 about the great responses on well wishes on this thread and it occurs to me how blessed i am to know all of you and to recieve  all of this from an extended family that i have never even met.

makes me glad i've stuck around.  i am fortunate to know all of you.

(and life goes on.....)
this thread is doomed.
