When asked for his opinion the sekrit agent was was slightly less than optimistic about his chances of scoring with the girls with this new invention however he did say that M was all for it

Not a caption but a comment on ice runways: My brother was a surveyor in the Navy.  He was stationed in Antarctica at least one winter.  His job was to survey the ice and find the best spot to build a runway.  Each summer the ice would break things up and they would have to start over.

That might not be too far fetched


The pic is the tail of a C-130 poking out of the snow in Antartica, caused by  JATO that went wrong. After 17 years of being buried in the snow it was dug out, repaired, flown out, and put back into service.
