  I'm not sure whether taking a wingtip off of a drone will cause it to fall out of formation or not (I don't think removing the elevators from a drone effects it enough to fall out of the formation, but if the pilot takes control of it, it's doomed).

Drone will explode instantly.

Only reason to completely destroy a b24 is if it is close to dropping (shoot wingtips)..... otherwise let'er burn out (shoot shoulder)and save your ammo. I usually only throw 50s at them and save my 20mils for others.

Agreed!  She's my bird and she always gets flamed.  Always has, always will.

Shoot a B-24 between the fuselage and #2 or #3 engine and it catches fire.  It has always been this way.
