Well....
Clinton did. He hired them (without bid) for Cosovo and that area after that war.  OH! never mind, it was ok when he did it.

Didn't say or imply that. Clinton or Bush, Haliburton or P&G, governments handing out no bid contracts  is just repulsive to me. I don't blame Haliburton for doing whats in their best interests, I blame the government busybodies spending other peoples money carelessly.

I don't think we should be letting foreign companies do vital defense work.

I suppose you could consider it outsourcing.

It definitely would put a bit of a binder on doing the nuke them till they glow straategy since we'd have so much $ tied up there.

On the other hand if Haliburton's operation gets nationalized they could just declare war on them for us...... :p
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

No, you all just went into knee jerk  "OMG HES DOESNT SAPPART TEH PRESIDENT SO HE MUST BE A LIB DEM COMMUNIST" mode.

Not that I'm not used to it mind you.

I made a point to differentiate  between conservatives and GOP/BUSH kool-aid drinkers, and made no reference at all to the Democratic Party or President Clinton. Read it all again, where did I say it was 'ok' when the Democrats did it?

You didn't say it was ok when they did it; you said they didn't do it. Only kool-aid sucking GOP lackeys do it. Right?

God forbid someone in the oil industry working where the oil is.

I mean c'mon?  What happened to the days of the sand harvesters based out of Antarctica?  Or the fishermen of the Mojave Desert?

Geeze, what is this world coming to?

government contractors in charge of national security related matters pulling out of the country that feeds them and shipping our jobs and tax monies elsewhere?

that would be my guess.
