For those that belong to a VFW...
« on: March 11, 2007, 09:43:45 AM »
I'm Army, currently assigned to the Navy in Baghdad attached to the Army... sit and think about that one for a minute. Any who how we had a VFW send us an American flag for us to fly and have everyone sign to send back to them. Seems to be some issue about signing the U.S. flag so here is my offer. If you send me either your state flag or local VFW flag I'll fly it at one of the gun sites for a week and get as many of the 138 of us to sign it then send it back to you. 135 Navy and 3 Army... this is our web page

Either message me here or PM me and I'll send you my address here. We have received allot of support from VFW's in the states and would like to be able to give something back. May God bless America, for it is truely a great place to grow up and live.

Navy was in that area. My daughter was a NFO on P3 Orion and her squadron was flying recon mssions over Iraq a few years back:) :)

She is now back statside on a different assignment, so I don't know if they are still flying those sub chasers over the desert anymore.

navy is getting augmented over there to provide some relief to the troopers over there that are conventional ground pounders.  ie let them come home bit sooner.

I had my address posted on another link did you get that or should I post it here too? And thank you for your service Gopher, we all appreciate the support from back home.

SeaRAM would not be used because it fires an updated stinger that is a mach 2 missle. To counter this threat multiple exploding shells give you a higher chance of hitting it. And seeing that we are shooting a new type of HE round, if we are shootin at a mortar only 1 round is needed to make contact to take it out.
