Man, that blows.
One good single-player change is that now money is worth something. Traders have some decent items (The Trader Cid has a Merc Suit and Stalker Suit for sale, which is cool). The bad news is that now armor degrades (after a while your %15 rad protection suit drops down to %4 rad protection), and people can't find a way to repair it. This is gamebreaking IMO, as it's unfair to expect me to keep finding new SEVA suits. And no, the Freedom base vendor dude does not repair armor in the patch, according to some Stalker forums.

Blows harder. I came across a SEVA suit and bad bellybutton weaponry early on by wandering into non mission areas. I thought I was lucky and felt invincible for a bit. I am now to the point where these weapons are common (for the given location and area of plot). It just gave me a bad feeling about the pacing and development of one's character. Seems disjointed ya know?
A great game, but it could have been so much more. It feels buggy and unfinished. Disappointing... [/B]
Agree. Broken and incompletable missions are my biggest annoyance. I can't gain certain factions' trust due to the mission leader accidentally offing themselves; unable to collect reward. NPCs and fellow stalkers aren't very interesting. You meet one and you've met them all... stalkers have little or nothing to trade.
Good intentions, great concept, under developed, and meh.
