I wish I could find a DIY link to use a laptop lcd for a normal screen. I have one dismantled one laying around with no use.

I "think" Tom's hardware made a projector out of an lcd screen and an old high school overhead projector . It look great and was really cheap to do. I think i would try it if i had a laptop lcd laying around cause it had to be stripped to the bare screen . Later    38

Yep I've read that link. Unfortunately it's a desktop LCD which contains different electronics.

I already have 2 projectors, a Panasonic PT-AE700 home theater and a miniature Optoma portable. :D

But I would've wanted to use the laptop screen for DIY server screen.
