Amd X2 dual core cpu usage
« on: March 21, 2007, 03:22:38 PM »
Hey all, ive been opening taskmanager while flying and have noticed that both cores are running at 50% or so. I have both the drivers and dual core optimizer installed but it seems to be using only half or each core .

I followed skuzzy's sticky to the letter, adding the throttle regisry key and checking the boot.ini file for the  /usepmtimer line . Has anyone else seen this type of cpu usage , or do i have a problem somewhere? thx

That is just a short coming of the Task Manager.  Take what is shown and multily it by two to get the reale results for a dual core CPU.

Thanks for the reply skuzzy , i'm glad it not an issue .

Keeler101 , i'm running 1.550v , anything lower and it's unstable at 3 ghz. As the weather here near buffalo ny get warmer i'm going to have to turn it down to 2.8 (only needs 1.425v)  cause it's getting a little hot (42-43c) @ the higher voltage even with water .   Rukee
