Problems with x52 mapping
« on: March 20, 2007, 06:48:23 PM »
I've been mapping sticks for years and now that I have a new saitek x52 I feel like a newbie. I'm not using the saitek sftwr yet. Maybe the changes to the clipboard since last time I was in the game are part of the issue BUT..... I keep losing some of the configurations on the throttle side every once in a while I start a new sortie. Mappings desappear.

1) I had mapped my wheel around the button " i " to zoom in and out my view and the botton "i" to toggle zoom. Now, that mapping is gone and as I click on the clipboard/controls/mapping and go assign the zoom in / out again, I'm only presented with the choice of "analog imput" commands which won't let me choose the zoom assignment anymore. ?! Weird because I assigned zoom to it before.

2) viewing the clipboard with the list of imputs/ buttons / axis, there are 2 columns: the "controller imput" and the "mode 1 function". I'm assuming that these menu bars are made clicable to sort the items below but when I click on the "controller imput" bad, all the assignemnts of my buttons change. Where on the "d" button I had wep I now have view look up ?!

I'm not changing mode on the stick or in the clipboard.

What  the.... ?!
