And you think the 190s handle like crap now with those things you'd be lucky to out turn a Lanc. Yea youll be able to kill bombers out from 1k but thats about it. If a fighter jumps you your as good as dead.

MK 103s were only used on "battering ram" (and heavily armored) Fw 190A-8s.

They'd make a sensible addition to CT though.
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

Not really once the fighters come in any 190 with Mk103s will be the first to die. Unless we will have missions with no escorts like a "Black Thursday" mission then I wuldnt even up one with Mk103s.

I would.

If CT comes out eventually, I will try to get the 190 as my main ride and my aim will be to kill bombers.
If the missions are recreating "real life" missions to a certain degree, I will hope the 109 will try cover me while I set up my attack. And for that I will take every firepower I can get, for the probabillity is very high that you will only get one chance to engage the buffs at that altitudes.

I think I agree... You'll have some help, and even less manuverable planes can support each other (wildcats developed the Thatch Weave against much lighter and nimbler zeros) as long as they're in numbers.

Hell, I saw the AKs doing damn well in Typhoons against 109s/190s in the last FSO. Teamwork is all it takes.

That said, I do expect the 190s to be the worst performers the LW will have, but I STILL want to get a crack at those bombers! :O

190a and 109s attacked bombers. I would rather be in a G6 or G14 with godies then a 190 at 30K. Let alone a 30190A8 with a few extra 100lbs on its wings.

I think this is a matter of personal preference. Personally, I would never burden a G14 with additional gondolas, unless some authority would order me to do so... ;)

And while historically both 109s and 190 were send against the bombers, there were many instances were 109 groups were flying dedicated coverage for the heavy Sturmgruppen.
