The hancershif ceremony, isn't it the first contact with each other the lovers are supposed to have? I think I recall that traditionaly this is how you meet your bride/groom for the first time, and that's how they get their first impression of each other.

Yes, being separated like this really sucks. Badly. Worse than I expected. I am hoping USIS is in a good mood when they get the I-130/K-3 applications.
