CH HOTAS problem
« on: March 23, 2007, 05:51:31 PM »
Been trying everything for a few months now, I just can't get my setup to work for GVs. I can't map anything for GV control, but I can gun for other people in their GVs. Turret, firing and all that work fine when I join as a gunner, but when I spawn it myself nothing works. Even when it was in default setup, before I tried to edit it, pushing forward on the stick didn't move it, and moving it side-to-side didn't move the steering wheel. Jumping into gunning position, nothing happened.

Is there a problem with the CH setup, or am I missing something?

Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it? I'm at a total loss. :cry

Just to make sure... did you copy Mode 1 to Mode 2 and select the box to automatically use Mode 2 when deploying vehicle?

Tried that first, didn't do jack.

Oh, and in case anyone wants to know the exact setup- CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Pedals, CH Pro Throttle, obviously all USB.

Well its not a CH issue, because I have all the same equipment and mine works fine.

Did you use the CH manager to program the buttons or AH set-up? I have mine all set thru the AH set up. In the map controllers section I selected "mode 2", then re-mapped my stuff to run in the GVs. Make sure you click "OK" to set them.

Type out a step by step list here, of what you do to set yours, and maybe we can find the step your missing.

In a nutshell, everything I do for Mode 1, including clicking "OK", and it does nothing.

Mode 1 works just fine, I've even "defaulted" several times and completely remapped everything with no results.

Theres a problem which I think is related to it, but I'm not on the computer with AH on it at the moment, so I'll have to check again when I get home for the specifics. But it seems to be a programming mode where it will only let me assign certain functions to certain axes or something like that. Its confusing as heck, especially trying to remember it when I can't look at it. I'll put the real answer up tonight.
