After 4 years, a new plan is installed (NOT thought up by Rumsfeld, but by a real general)--and even though 4 brigades haven't even gotten there yet---some actual progress can be observed--The Dems have based their political fortunes on the anti-war stance, and you MUST admit, if the US were to win..the Dems would be fluffied--the are invested in our actual, or perceived, defeat, and the more things look otherwise, the more shrill their "We have to get out NOW" chants become

The demodorks pass a bill that will not go anywhere, will not do anything, and to accomplish that zero accomplishment, they spend (give away to stupid programs)  billions in our tax dollars, and some absolutely stupid people cheer.

I would prefer they do real work, accomplish something positive, and not blow tax dollars doing nothing.   I really don't need another tax increase.

And the stupid people cheer.

And did you see one of the Dems proposed setting a classified date for the withdrawal?  Oh yeah.  That might be a secret for about 45 minutes.

With their votes, the American people asked for change. They cast their ballots in favor of a New Direction.

They called for greater integrity in Washington, and Democrats pledge to make this the most honest, ethical, and open Congress in history.

The American people - many Republican and independent voters among them - entrusted Democrats with their hopes and aspirations for themselves, their families, and their future. We are prepared to lead and ready to govern. We will honor that trust, and we will not disappoint.

A new direction? .... Same old same old.  Hypocrisy at its finest?  We are not even close to the professionals.

wonder why they don't call the "new direction" for what is really is ... backwards - as in a yelow bellied, turn tail, sry we don't have the stomach or the patience to see anything through anymore, bush is evil, retreat from the blood for oil  war...Michael Moore must be proud.

if the dems win in 08 and we leave Iraq to Iran, we as a nation deserve what comes next .. and I do not think it will be some upswing in global opinion of the US as the dems would make you think. Guess they don't realize, a good portion of the globe wants to see the US fail, in Iraq and most other places. Or maybe they do and share a similar agenda ...
