Well let me first say I understand this was the first and I salute the people who ran it. I look forward to many more in the future. I do have a couple of ideas that will make it more smooth running.
1.) Make it that you must register for the event, there where several people who just showed up unexpectedly. One guy was shooting people down , others are asking questions "whats going on here" repeatedly asking the leaders "what do I do", "where do I go" and on top of that not having the patience to let someone respond. The fact is that this scenario was posted for quite some time and the leaders are trying to organise everyone, then they have to take time to answer questions from walk ons.
2.) Password protect the arena to ensure that the above doesnt happen. Give the password out the morning of the event by email.
3.) Frame 1 could have ended sooner, most pilots where down waiting in the tower for frame 2 to start while a handful of guys where in the air, cant we have them auger? Lets keep the frame moving along at a good pace.
4.) Give the guys running the event a different chat color, like HT's blue that he uses. It would be much easier to see and follow directions.
5.) Turn off friendly collisions, taking off was a real squeak with 20 guys taking off from the same airfield.
