Another whine after all great whines....:-)

Funny thing...those Hispanos...

When Iīm the catch, 1 ping, even, from 800 yards distance is enough to break my wing, tail, aileron etc, etc.

When Iīm the hunter, those cannons seem to be total ineffective...even from close distances like this:

A short clip, 150k

Weird...

Well...This mess is one more reason to vote for a proper Fighter for demanding pilots:

BREWSTER!!!

Fisrt guess would be net lag. Rubber bullets for you and he is closer on his FE and fireing/landing more rounds that you see.

BUT, I have flown recently on 3 diferent connections(dialup at home, Motel high speed that was strong by my book, and office net that goes to fiber and screamed) and have experienced the same thing from time to time on each. Of course my connection is only half the equasion.

I also wonder if the Flight Model has a trick that makes moderate wing dammage worse if you load the wing too much in evasives. More than once I made a guy miss his second shot(from my view) and the wing comes off anyway.

And sorry for the hijack, I know it doesn't help your problem.

Had that many a time! I went up against a Hurri 2c about three times. Everytime, I would pull up and be out of his gun reach when he fired. It looked from my view that the tracers past a good 20 ft behind my tail. BANG, STILL lose an Elevator, and once, even lost a wing! I mean, I could slightly understand a elevator, but my wing? Wing tracers were 20 ft BEHIND my tail? Could you explain please HT? Sorry no video either? And yes Ive had the same problem as th eoriginator of the thread. I could fire maybe 20 Hispano rounds square into a 2cs wing before it came off, but one of his hispano's takes mine clean off!

Get FSautostart!

Don't have the address handy but a lookup should get you there.

I doesn't make any permanent changes!

You can turn stuff off for AH and back on when your done.

If you make an error you can fix it and try again.

It will also go through you memory before it starts if you set it to.

Great program!

Also check for spyware, trojans, etc..............

NOTE: what the film records is NOT always going to match what you saw.

Film records what the COMPUTER sees.

20 yds off and you still gettin hit?

Sounds like lag!   Can be CPU to Vid card to monitor LAG (may really need FSautostart) PLUS net lag.

Sounds like something I had before I upgraded my vid card.  Then a new patch and SEEMED like for awhile I was right back where I was before I upgraded.

FSautostart helps ALLOT!

Thats not as bad as what I saw from a 110 bombing a CV.

the 110 dropped his ord an fire his missle....missed the CV  by over 100 YARDS!   But guess what....they impacted the CV!!!     His rockets flew dead center between the CV and an escort....Boom!   Cv hit.

Then he flew through all the ack without being hit at about 1500 Feet.

I will have to dig up that fill....my jaw dropped to the keyboard on that one.

Softail, that won't show on film. The task group won't be there.

NEVER tust the location of CVs. They're the most affected by lag in this game. You can count on "your" CV being up to a kilometer away from "other people's" CVs.

Do you have VSync enabled or disabled (it's in your video card settings)

It needs to be ENABLED.

Though I have little expertise in that area, I doubt a video card setting will affect netlag.

Lets say we're in a situation where I'm the one pouring the lead into another player. It's on my computer that the hit detection is taking place. When you score a hit, your computer tells the server that you hit him and he has taken damage. That means that if I see the little sprites, I HAVE hit him. Some believe it's the other way around; you throw lead and the opponent's computer (or the server) tracks the hits. There was a game that did that, and HT laughs about how retarded an idea that was on the recordings of the last convention.

I don't see how a video setting will fix that, but I don't know exactly what vsync does either. My best guess is an unlucky hiccup in your connection where the smoothing code has set in and you're in th process of trying to start receiving and sending packets from/to the host again. The "I HIT YOU!!!" packets get lost in cyberspace and you get pissed. ;)

P.S. I do agree that vsync should be on, however. I remember it helping something. :D

The film shows expected results if he had no previous damage.   You put one round into the the left and right inner wing section and 1 round into a wingtip.
