Jordi: That's going to be tight, but will do! :)

Aye lad! jordi wasnt no scotty by ANY stretch of the imagination.
Least with scotty ya knew he was a miracle worker, often some unbeleivable feat of super ability but jimmy doohan always was able to pull it off with flair and style.
The best i describe it is this: you the veiwer KNEW it was imposible, and was done in alot of episodes but ya had this unspoken agreement that he wouldnt really expect you to believe it but to just enjoy the show at the same time you agreed to not cry BS every episode becouse you were entertained.

THAT was the magic known as the scotty effect. poor jordi was merely and actor playing a part.
Crap now I gotta redo my cool sig.....crap!!! I cant remeber how to do it all !!!!!

And as far as Starbuck, any theories on where she got a Viper?

I assumed the song was the wake-up call that triggered them into realization.  I thought that if Starbuck really did find or get close to Earth, she or it may have been transmitting it to activate the other four.  Assuming it really is the song it sounds like, and that song would only be from Earth.

That all falls apart when figuring that a trigger would have needed to have been implanted or programmed earlier...how would the Cylons already have that song.

No clue on the Viper, although I missed the episode where she was 'killed' so I didn't see how it went down.

Murdr's link the the composer's blog seems to shoot down my thoughts on where the tune actually came from.

Im going to rewatch the final two episodes. I swear Anders and Tigh heard that song coming over the radio in the bar, or it was just in their head, I dunno.:O

Starbucks Viper blew up  but they did show her grabbing the ejecting lever right before.

Yea that's true...they did hear it coming from the radio.  Maybe that was a nasty trick by the Producers to throw us off....after a while, I figured it was definitely coming from (or moved to) their heads based on Tigh freaking out about the walls!

Something else that's silly...I didn't pay much attention to the actual tune during Part 1, but somewhere along the line in Part 2 I did start to pay attention because the more I heard it, the more I finally thought I was starting to think it sounded familiar :huh.  It was pretty obvious near the end what it was, but there was that in-between time where it was bugging me in the back of my brain......I blame the Producers for that one, trying to drive me insane.

Another nasty trick is the fact that there were only four of them in the hold....the assumption at the end of the show is that Starbuck is the 5th....or is she?  There's a lot to support that she is, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Producers jerk me around on that one too.

BSG.  Where do I start?  When this series first came out, I was very excited about it (big fan of the original).  It was on Friday nights, and I would record it, since my wife and I went out every Friday night.  No matter how late I got home, I couldn’t resist the urge to sit down and run the tape (I TiVo, now…technologies great!).  Since lifting off New Caprica, however, it takes me days to gen up enough interest to select it from the TiVo list and push play.  That about sums it up for me.

I’m tired of the never-ending soap opra (the ridiculously large amount of commercials doesn’t help, even knowing I can just fast-forward through them), the ever-larger plot holes (to many to recount, but the whole issue Baltar’s nuke that destroyed Cloud Nine being completely ignored being just one of the more unbelievable), and the brooding characters who are continually doing things out of character and/or for no believable reasons.  And now they want me to wait over 9 months (remember, “Returns in 2008” doesn’t guarantee it will be in January), after showing a measly 10 or 11 episodes?  Good grief!
