Personally I've been waiting for seaplanes since AH started.

Looks like I'll wait another 5- 6 years before I get them.

During WW-II PBY Catalina's could be rigged for bombing, strafing, and torpedo runs.

The Catalina could also be equipped with wheels making it versitile in it's use throughout the arena.

Although I don't think many would be willing to wait to be rescued at sea adding the ability to launch from the ports would add a new dimension to port defense .

I think it would ad an element to the game, Id go rescue a squadie in a heartbeat. that would be a fun mission in itself. I know when flying a C47 half the fun is getting there undetected and landing under the nose of the enemy and waiting to take the base. I think this would be very similar.
