I think AH has a fairly hard coded if you touch the runway belly first at over 200mph you go boom.  better then the 500Kph ditches you can get away with in ww2ol though.  I like landing the RV on top of hangers and not in one piece on top of the radar tower building.

I have no screenshots of this, but a while back I was trying to land a Zeke, a D3A, and a B5N on top of the indestructable hangar with no success. Damn close on one landing though before my plane teetered off the edge.

I'm gonna have to try that again.:D

In AH, if you make contact with anything on the ground at speeds above 150, I think, you just go boom. You used to be able to ditch at high speeds, but that was changed a while back (2 years or so?).
