Don't listen to the tards who collectively were the reason for the AvA emptying out. I say do everything possible that will make people like them leave and good riddance. You are thinking along the right lines Trukk and as Sunday night proved there are many grateful for your efforts .

Not to belabor the point but I was reminded of a pickup football game. We're all trying to 'win' but win or lose the camaradarie, good natured ribbing, and the beer, after the game are all pretty good. And you know the guys you played with would be good people to have at your back when the chips were really down.

Trukk... Keep it rolling man... I think participating in these realistic missions are absolutely awesome.

Yes I do enjoy mixing it up in the MA's but IMHO they are not as much fun as this aspect of this game is.

Just to share my thoughts here...

Many years ago at the advent of the PC many of us dedicated "gamers" had visions of what the PC and networks could bring to competitive gaming. IMHO there have been very few instances where this vision came to fruition at any level, this is one of them. So Trukk, Please keep the torch lit for those of us who truely appreciate what you are doing for us.

I remember in the old days of the CT we used to run missions every Thursday night. 1 week the allies would run a buff mission, the next week the axis would run one. It stopped after the axis ran 3 or 4 weeks in a row, there were always plenty of allies to shoot axis buffs down but you could never get enough allies to fly buffs when it was their turn. This 'interest' flows like a roller coaster, always has and always will. Enjoy it will it lasts...

I think we have enough core groups that are willing to fly either side, whichever is necessary, and have fun with it. We flew in the squad select series in Warbirds for years and years switching sides and still had a blast. The more like minded groups that participate, the more of this you will see. These events are about fun in a realistic manner. I think evreyone who was there got just that.

Yep when it was the LWs time to bomb london we would need about 60% of the numbers to have a chance that some bombers would come home, but we would end up flying eight sets of Ju88s and and five 109Es and two or three 110Cs and fly into a blob of twenty-five to thirty spits and hurris and only last five minutes. The only mission I remember was fair and fun was when we had about twenty sets of B17s fly in to hit our ammo dump with the checkertails flying escort in P51Ds and Jg3, Jg54 and some MAer flew 109G10s, 190a8s and about four Ta152s. When we hit the bombers they were at 25K+ and fighters were 30K I can tell you that was the best time I'v ever had in AH if only we could have kept it up.

Yeah, that was a fun night! I remember those Pony's made 1 pass then never saw em again. Just like true chickentails, when you lose the alt advantage push the nose down and run for the deck! I was in one of the 190's, landed 6 -17 kills then tried to up a 109 but never got close enough before I ran outa gas.
