Rudder Pedals

Can't get the pedals to work!
I've been flying using TM RCS rudder pedals without any problem for over 6 months. Recently my RCS pedals went "belly up" and I replaced them with TM Elite pedals. I configured them in windows and it looks like they are working fine. In the game I can't get them to work. The rudders are conected to the joystick game port along with my joystick and TQS. H Does anyone have an answer?

Wire,
The only thing that comes to mind to me right now is that the wrong axis is being used for rudder.

Go to setup, joystick, select joystick. When you are on the select joystick screen make sure your joystick is selected in the center window. On the left window highlight rudder and make sure RZ axis is highlighted on the right. If it's not then highlight it and click on set input. Hope this helps.

Mark, thanks for your response. I've already checked that and selected Rz axis, it looks just as you describe.

What version of Directx are you using. You need at least 7.1a or AH won't recognize dual  controller. At least thats true for usb rudder.

Thanks sax, but that too has been covered. I have the latest DirectX patch.

They are fixed, here's what didn't work and what did work. Going to "set-up", "joystick", "select stick" and selecting rudder and Rz axis and clicking "set input" did NOT work. While in the "select joystick" window, I clicked on "Roll" and "set all inputs" and "set all buttons". I went down the list of Roll, pitch, throttle and rudders and selected "set all inputs" and "set all buttons" for each one. After that, the rudder pedals worked! Does this make sense?

Wire,
What axis do the rudders use? The RZ axis? Just curious here, that is what is used on my setup and was wondering if it were different on another setup.

I can see what you did making sense, it is possible that all those settings got messed up when something like a screen freeze requiring a reboot happened and by doing what you did it refreshed it all.

Something I didn't mention before is that you could have deleted the stick.cfg file in your settings folder and the game would have regenerated another one when you restarted the game. You don't want to delete the jsmap.cfg file unless you want to remap all your joystick buttons.

It appears to be the Rz axis, as that selection showed up after I had installed the TM rudders.
