Not all B movies.  There are many 'B' horror movies which have absolutely no visible bloodshed in them.  Sci-fi as well.

Most of the Japanese 'B' monster movies are pretty clean as well.

No offense to those who like that sort of thing.  Just not our cup of tea.

Skuzz, do yourself and your wife a favor and rent Jackie Brown.  Yes, there is some violence in it but not as much as a typical QT movie.  IMHO it's QT's best effort and my favorite of his movies.  Yes, I am a huge Tarantino fan.  Rodriguez, too.  Desperado and Once Upon A Time In Mexico are great shoot-em-ups with style.  And Selma Hayek...how can you go wrong?

Yeah, it didn't hurt L.A. Confidential, Get Shorty, and many many others either.  Tarantino changed quite a bit of the details but left the meat of the story pretty much intact.

Not my idea of entertainment either....Yet, I continue to fire tens of thousands of rounds of machine gun and cannon rounds, and 1,000 pound bombs on towns day in and day out in Aces High....=) lmao.

Well here is my report.
if you can make it thru the halfway mark....its worth it imnsho.
It really builds to that point then...QT rodriguez fans will go nuts.
i dont wanna ruin it for anybody.
I liked it because of how it was filmed, alot like PF but different. it had a sureal but could happen kinda quality that i like
Lots and lots of action and the part where the 2 girls are only wearing bullet laden bandoleers.....ah was heaven! I wont tell WHICH 2 girls :huh  but those several scenes alone should be enough for many who frequent this board
Crap now I gotta redo my cool sig.....crap!!! I cant remeber how to do it all !!!!!

I thought Get Shorty was closer to the book than most movies adapated from books.   I think Rum Punch was the first Elmore Leonard book I read, then Maximum Bob, then Stick.   Now that I think about most of the ones I've read that were adapted to movies seem to have stayed pretty close, even some of the dialoge.  I'm reading Glitz right now, finished Tishomingo Blues last week, The Hot Kid a couple of weeks ago and Freaky Deaky last month.  That man can write.   My dad introduced me to him when I came home in 98 when I retired.   I needed something to read and he handed me Get Shorty and I've been reading Elmore Leonard ever since.  My dad has all his books but its more fun for me to hunt them down in bookstores, so far I got about 15.  My Dad also got me hooked on Len Deighton's books.

Its a good movie to see, about once every 5 years.  Any more then that and it's bad for your health.

Tarantino isn't bad, but he has a habit for making dialogue scenes just to talk about modern affairs.  For example, Reservoir Dogs.  I don't give a **** about 6 or 7 men sitting around doing nothing but talking.  The same exact thing happened with Clerks and Clerks 2.

Robert Rodriguez is a godsend though.  He has made some great movies, most notable being Once Upon a Time in Mexico, and Sin City.  Some of his lesser known movies were great as well, especially his true start in El Mariachi.  (However, Desperado was a really bad movie.  It's painful to sit through.)  He even made a kid's movie that was actually pretty decent (Spy Kids).

Rodriguez was even kicked out of the Directors guild for giving credit of making the movie Sin City completely to the man who wrote the Graphic Novel, Frank Miller.

Hated the first 2 and never saw Kill Bill.

Actually I saw about 1/2 hour of Kill Bill on tv and that was more than enough.
