Looking for a program

I need a program to convert movies of other types (AVI and such) to MPEG4. Does anyone know of a program to do this? Im sure theyre out there... thank you in advance!

lol. Thanks. I wanted to put some of my AH movies on my i-Pod, lol. And Nilsen, not quite thats for making DVDs, im trying to convert things to put on my i-Pod which requires, ive been told, MPEG4
