Blind in one eye, 3d = useless.

BUT, you give me some that i can use with one eye, and LOOK AROUND!..and it moves my players head,im sold.
untill then, wank off.
Most people who i speak to about 3d glasses just tell of ill fated motion sickness and no real "yee hah" factor after two or so days.

I just want glasses that i can move my head, and the same happends ingame.
thats IT.

:EDIT:Head Tracking: TrackIR 3, 3Pro, or 4
We've all heard how these things work, so I will just add that when, in response to turning your head, you see a 10-foot wide image matching your movements exactly, AND you hear your engine noise "rotate" from the front of you, to your side, and then behind you, the immersive feeling is simply incredible. They're about $110 these days, right?"

k, ill shudup now.

I love AH, but I don't love it that much. Interesting setup though.

Vulcan have you considered getting track ir vector to do your tracking instead of the built in tracker for this z800?  You could get 6dof control then!

Ya I know this will make me sound stupid.

But ..from what I van gather, how am I loking at my computer screen if my head is turned 60deg to 1 side or the other.
the view on the screen obviously changes.. but how are YOU supposed to see it??

Nova,

If you are referring to TrackIR, it's quite sensitive so you only need to move a slight bit to get the view change, in fact I believe you can look 360 degrees and still be looking at the screen.  I don't have it, that's just how I understand it.

What nirvana wrote. Schutt has TrackIR. From what I gathered it can actually be adjusted how far you need to turn your head for the 180 degree back view.

I tried his set up once... had to move head about 20 degrees to the left (or right) to look back in AH.

Absolutely, althought I don't think the X-Y tracking movement of trackir matches up with the range the z800 can do. I'd probably wear the trackir around my neck and use the X-Y-Z movement to track leaning left/right/back/forward etc.

Nope. It may even be good for me. I have a weak right eye, I'm diagnosed with non-binocular vision (I failed air force entrance physicals because of it). I could probably never fly in real life because of it.

Yet in the 3D headsets I get depth perception. It is very wierd. Since using the headset I've noticed over the past month my right eye is strengthening up. So whooooooo knows maybe the long term effect is good  :)

One disadvantage to the projector though: you need to set up your room with a desk somewhere in the middle. The headset is rather self-contained...

You're missing on thing though llama, 3D... although look here for some solutions: http://www.3dflightsim.com/

Once you play AH in 3D you'll never want to go 2D again.

Just an update worth mentiong. Icuiti are releasing a headset for $399 with 3 axis headtracking similar to my Z800. The optics don't look as good as the Z800 but for $399 with tracking AND stereoscopic capability:

I can't stress how much cooler AH is to play in stereo3D especially with headtracking :)
