Driving/Flying music.
« on: April 09, 2007, 07:40:01 PM »
So, I am messing with my Ipod and I am trying to set up a driving/flying playlist. Something that sounds good and has a quick beat. FYI this is real life driving and flying I am talking about. That is why "Fire Water Burn" by the Bloodhound Gang isn't going to fit. I listen mostly to rock and classic rock. So lets limit the music that music genre.
I would like a list of great songs to drive and fly too. Everyones input is welcome. I need atleast 100 songs, I think. I fly a helicopter and it has short legs. So, 100 songs should do the trick. Thanks

What if you were to actually monitor your freq's, listen to transponder and radio changes that following may give you, do your checklist, and weight/fuel burn and in flight time calculations while you are flying, instead of dicking around and listening to music?

Whatever you do, don't put any van morrison on there...I've grown to hate him.  One of the guys I fly with always puts his IPOD on just loud enough to open the mics, and i'm tortured with that crap haha.

Personally, I would recommend "road of the gypsy", "and the top gun theme song".  Nothing makes you feel more like a real pile-it.

ohhh by the way...Anyone beginning flight training, download the top gun theme song to your cell phone, and just as your about to take the active on your introductory flight, hit the play button and hold the speaker up to your CFI's head....lmfao.

Yeah this comming from a newb. We fly VFR and the music is not so loud that we can't hear the important stuff come over the commo. Cav I truly hope you are joking. I know you said before you want to go K-dubs..If your going to be that kind of a cockbite I would rather not have you in our ranks. That kind of crap belongs with the attack weenies. :aok Just FYI my friend.
