Oh yeah, they gave the body a state funeral in Japan, maybe someone
might have noticed it wasn't Yamamoto, ya think?

Correct ! Few know that there was also a high P-38 flying recon taking photos at the same time, the 16 guys on the mission didn't even know about the recon P-38. Homer Baker was the pilot of the recon 38. Google search Homer Baker if you don't believe me.

the reason he was giving the navy cross is simple,
when they came up with the plan the navy had no airplanes that could fly the distance,so the used  the armys p38 and there pilots.
Sence the the operation was a navy hatched plot you were helping them out  hence the navy cross.

Put scuba gear on the Meth heads and have them swim around with the plaque around their neck. Heck, call em Nutria. There is a warm place in hell for them.

Lance I have no problem with the necessary killing of animals for food or if they are a nuisance. I think what irked me was the way you said it was a hobby to kill things. To kill for the sake of killing is low. Its my opinion. And I dont think pictures of death be it human or animal really need to be on these forums. Again my opinion.

That is a good point about scrap metal.  But if they are meth addicts, I doubt that their brain is functioning very well anymore.

We have some great bicycle paths here in town, and the city put in a bunch of expensive lights to keep them lite at night.  Well, some hoods vandalized these too, and ripped out all the copper wiring from them.  Cost the city a pretty penny to have them all repaired.

Ah, well, some sportsmen are like me, and own both some pretty shotguns, and also some of those evil black rifles too.  Like you, I do not discriminate against guns just because of their color.   :D

Here are two of my pretty shotguns:

Here is the first evil black gun that I bought, a Colt Model 6724.  It is almost as accurate as my Remington 700, and is also great for hunting varmints.

And here is my latest naughty gun: a new Special Forces Combat Carbine model chambered in the new heavier 6.8 mm round:

And here is a photo of my son's combo Birthday and Christmas present last year, before I shipped it to him.  I did not give him anything for his birthday last year, but then made up for it at Christmas.   :)

And here is a photo of my son and I bird hunting together:

Your logic is so mixed up here.  I and everyone else here enjoys killing things!  I make some kills ( I admit not that many ) here on Aces High all the time.  And I am sure that you do too.  That is part of what I mean about my hobby is killing things.  I include game playing as part of that.

There is no comparision between killing a rodent, and killing a human being in the real world.  They are not, and never will be, a moral equivalent.

I think that a far stronger argument could be made that someone who pretends and fantasizes about killing people in a game has more of a problem than someone who in the real world kills animals for sport.

You know, many of the same types of folks that want to restrict gun ownership and hunting, also want to greatly restrict violent video games.   Many are blaming violent video games for the high rates of real crime and violence among young people today.  They believe that such games are only training boys to become assasins and murders, and serve no useful purpose.

Let me turn the table around here:

Is there really a truely valid reason for the Aces High game to even exist??  Why should our governments allow this game to be on the Internet?

Aren't there much more productive and useful things that everyone here could be doing instead of pretending to wage war and commit violent and aggressive acts here in a fantasy world??

So we have a photo recon 38 in the area where Yamamoto was killed and the other 38's didn't know it?Something seems way wrong with that.
I agree with Filth, killing, just to be killing is wrong.Shooting a person in a cartoon airplane is a lot different than splattering a marmot just to be doing it.I been around firearms most my life.Marine Corps,Viet era,and as a police firearms instructor, and I have got to the point that I not only dislike guns,I actually deplore them.Gun lovers have a way of portraying guns in such a way, that the anti gun lobby doesn't have to work very hard for fuel to add to their fire.Lance I don't think that everyone likes killing things. The world would be in sorry arsed shape if that was the case.

"Game Playing" is a seperate issue..and should NOT be included!

RifleLance ]There is no comparision between killing a rodent, and killing a human being in the real world.  They are not, and never will be, a moral equivalent.

"The ""comparision""  is BASIC..human and/or animal are living, breathing creatures, AND have only ONE (1) life..what/who gives you the right to take it (life) away..for "sport"!??

RifleLance ]I think that a far stronger argument could be made that someone who pretends and fantasizes about killing people in a game has more of a problem than someone who in the real world kills animals for sport.

  See above.

RifleLance ]You know, many of the same types of folks that want to restrict gun ownership and hunting, also want to greatly restrict violent video games.   Many are blaming violent video games for the high rates of real crime and violence among young people today.  They believe that such games are only training boys to become assasins and murders, and serve no useful purpose.

Only an idiot would blame "video games" on the increasing violent crime rate!

RifleLance ]Let me turn the table around here:

RifleLance ]Is there really a truely valid reason for the Aces High game to even exist??  Why should our governments allow this game to be on the Internet?

  Once again..ITS ONLY A GAME!!

"Pretending to wage war" is much better than actually waging war ..don't you think?

There is no need for you to make senseless personal insults like those.

It adds nothing to the discussion, and only reflects on the kind of immature person that you yourself are.

Says who??  You??  I was explaining that my remark referred to all of my hobbies, including playing this game.  It is you who is the one here who is trying to separate my comment, and put a different context on my words.

So you are in favor or bannding all hunting?  Or as I poined out in another post, you would prefer that rodent populations be controlled with poisioning, which introduces toxic chemicals into the environment??

Again, I think one can make a much stronger argument that people who pretend and fantasize about killing fellow humans, have much more of a problem than those who hunt for sport.

The same type of comment could be turned around and used against those against hunting.l

So now you are equating hunting animals with killing human beings in war, which as I remarked earlier, is absolutely silly.

Then let's see you post some photos of yourself with your guns to prove that.  One can say anything one wants to on the Internet.   In fact, have a friend take a closeup photo of you holding your NRA card.

I don't belong to the NRA myself, by the way.
