We weren't gonna get another mission there and back in less than an hour unless we had jets--didn't see them on the option list hehe. But I do know for a fact that from about T+70 on, the axis left the barn door wide open to 37 and we came right in. 37 *is* listed as one of the things the axis had to defend--right?

At T+70, about 12 USMC pilots arrived over A37, followed closely by the remaining force of the AK's.  There was resistance, but it was not as organized as the USMC and AK's that together with some other friendly forces managed to hold the enemy at bay until we had to return due to fuel limits.  I think that the Axis attempted to defend A37, but they were not successfull in their attempt.

Just going by the info listed on the film I made as I rode along on WxMan's Tiff. I joined him about halfway across the channel at a point under an hour left. I just guestimated the T+70. But by the time we got to the base I only saw a single 110 that came within icon range and he moved off less a wingtip. There were a pair of FWs listed but they never closed on the base that I saw. We did have the place fairly well sealed off.

It seemed poor Dantoo attracted quite a few 109s as he exited to the NW while all of the rest of us headed North to RTB.

I know there were some LW left flying, just saying there weren't any to speak of at 37 at the end of the frame which was where all the activity was.
