HT already stated awhile ago that the 40mm cannon we have will be the largest we will have on AC.  Sure HT might change his mind, but until he does...don't be so sure ;)

He does not want those large cannon birds sniping buffs from 2k out with no threat from the buffs guns.

Doubtfull that you'd see that. The 75mm did not have that kind of range, or round trajectory for killing aircraft. GV's will squeel though.
