Gotta chime in that the new trees look great, as does the beach and some of the ideas for placing folaige around the bases. Also, the bases a koola and the Firefly seems well done
HOWEVER, I have to agree that visually everything is both too stark and without necessary color contrast to get any depth perception, or textual clues to indicate level ground vs. hills, etc. Also, the water colors are wrong, wrong, wrong. Especially the lake in the town.
First time in the town I didn't even recognize the lake and drove right in it. Took me two minutes to realize it wasn't an invisible glitch, but that I had run into to the lake (and it was now undrivable). It looked like another, slightly differently colored patch of ground. Even though eventually we will know this is water, NOT being able to visually identify the lake as water on first introduction means its graphically missing the necessary clues (in this case color) to identify it.
In general everything is a bit dark and un-contrasty (and I run constantly with 1.3 gamma). I asked over channel if this was night, but someone point out the sun was directly overhead. LOL
If visuals stay this way, I'm seriously concerned my eyes won't be able to adapt.
