I have read that earlyer today but thx anyway

I was thinking that maybe someone here (with all the 1337 soldiers and gun nuts we have) had actually tried it in person.

HK-416 is basically an M-16, instead of being gas driven its piston driven like the G36. It weighs more then a M-16 but shoots fine. Why the interest? You Swedes planning a war?

A guy I know on a large east coast US SWAT team raves about the HK416. They bought them to replace their G36s - which were having issues.

HK416 is probably the best rifle out there today. Good choice Norway!

Sounds good Grunherz. We placed an order for 8200 rifles today and they will replace and live side by side with upgraded AG3's. I didnt know it was in the running as the replacement rifle as i thought the G36 was the H&K we were testing. Apparently our special forces in afghanistan have used it for some time as part of the field-testing and they were really happy with it.

I met a Swedish girl and a Finnish girl in Miami, both awesome, but i have to say that the Swedish girls are amazing.

I really want to visit Sweden.

The difference between swedish and norwegian girls lie only in their numbers. Sweden has twice the population of Norway so one can assume they have twice as many fine wimmin.

There is a strage sort of logic junction taking place in this thread:

The -416 rocks (used one for awhile, verah nice).

Swedish girls rock (used some for awhile, verah nice).

Norwegian girls rock (got used by some for awhile, verah nice).

Finnish girls rock (tried to get used by some for awhile, partially successful, still verah nice).

I feel like Mr. Spock after typing this.

G36 series is a better weapon system, but -416 is better than M4/M16 in some ways.

I would have thought so too and in fact first thought WTF why is HK building this when they have G36 or the G36 based XM8, but in the two cases I have heard of a head to head "contest" between G36 and 416 the 416 has won outright or was bought as replacement to existing G36. And now with the Norway order we cant just say people buy it because it looks/feels/handles like an AR.. Donno.

As for the other threads in this thread, my sister and her husband live in Denmark. On my next visit there I will insist on a tour to compare Danish, Norwegian and Swedish women.
