That's strange. Have you recently installed the game? If so, and you don't have any settings you need to save, I recommend a complete un-install and a re-install of the base game.
If you do have settings you want to save, copy the "settings" folder before you do the un-install. You could also try manually downloading the latest version and installing it over top. That should do it without losing any settings.
