GV Graphic Problems
« on: April 13, 2007, 03:35:41 PM »
Have noticed that at over 1600, the ability to determine range via cannon ground strikes around a target GV is not as good as it used to be.

Previously, I have been very accurate ranging GV's with two or three shots at up to 2800-3200.  I just lost 4 tanks (M4 to M4) trying to range a the same GV at 2000-2400.  I fired about 15-16 rounds all together and never hit him or determined at what distance he was.

Couldn't visually determine the range because the ground strike appeared in front or behind him, seemingly inconsistant with the range I was setting.  Also, the detail of the GV itself at that distance was horrible.  Almost just a blob.

Additionally, another GV high on the mountain (4500-6000) was invisible most of the time, but periodically would appear for two seconds then disappear.  I've seen this twice so far.

Further, the landscape details, contours (at a guess due to coloring and at times, too much or too little contrast) are difficult to see during the day, but impossible at dusk and night.  Can't identify GV's beyond very close range without zoom.  By then, you're already dead.
