CH F-16 Combat Flight Stick
« on: February 16, 2001, 05:14:00 PM »
I can't get my Combat Flight Stick to work properly.  I've calibrated it many times but can't get rid of spikes.  And, in the roll axis I only get maybe half the normal roll rate to the right.  I understand that some of this affect may be due to engine torque modeled in the sim but I also play with a Logitec Wingman joystick and I don't have this problem.  The other problem is with the Combat Flight Stick throttle.  It's either on full or idle - there's no inbetween.  This makes it very difficult to land or engage the enemy if a mid-range throttle setting is needed.

Spitlead, what ch drivers are you using right now?  I had the same type of problem with my combatstick a while ago (year or maybe more).

CH came out with a beta driver about then...the download was called chjoy98.exe and my combat stick works quite well now. If you're not using them and would like to..i'll post them for you to download. Just let me know.

Griz,

I bought the joystick used from a place that had Warbirds online.  I'm using the original drivers but have Win98 on my computer.  It looks like that driver update supports Win98.  If you wouldn't mind posting it, I'd sure like to download it.  My Wingman joystick doesn't have any hat switches for views.
