The previous image I attached (up 1) says "Hptm. Werner Schroer, Rhodes, Greece 1942" -- so I'm guessing he flew it for a while.
EDIT: I've got a handful of Bouchon (restored spanish 109 with different engine) pics that use this paint scheme, but neglect to include the killboard on the tail. If you're interested let me know.
