I dunno if i'd call it fixed... Unless that pond is real deep...  Tanks don't seem to be able to even get wet let alone cross any sort of water.

There's a difference between the ocean and a pond or river...   though perhaps all water is of infinite depth...  so mebbe you are onto something +)

Yup been in that situation myself looked to be several hundred yards away from the beach yet my tank acted like I was in the ocean and wasn't going anywhere.

Part of the transition from regular grass to water (The beach itself) is water. This is proved by shooting on the beach, eventually you'll hit water although you're clearly shooting the beach.

This leads me to say the Germans booby trapped the beaches.

Visibly the beach was between me and the water, and I appeared to be at least a couple hundred yards from the beach.

This was ndisles map btw
