I have a folder in “My Pictures” that holds all of my family pictures.  Within it I have a folder for each year, with multiple subfolders.  All together the “Family” folder has 19,000 files in 500 folders & subfolders.  I’ve set Windows XP “My Pictures Slideshow” screensaver to pull from the Family folder.  My problem is that I never see pictures from the 2006 or 2007 folders.
Here are my guesses why:
* My 2000 to 2005 folders have just over 10,000 files, maybe it only draws from the first 10K.
* My 2000 to 2005 folders have 268 folders (including subfolders), maybe it only draws from the first 256 folders.

We love to watch the screensaver, often even over TV.  How can I get it to draw from more folders?
Do you use and recommend an alternative screensaver program that won’t kill performance when not on?

(Yes, I have Googled this, but haven’t found an answer.)

Thanks,

eskimo
