Film Viewer Question
« on: April 19, 2007, 10:35:23 PM »
I was watching the film of Murdrs 14 kills in a 38 and noticed the controls do not move at all....

So I filmed an off line film and confirmed that is the film behavior...

Why is we can't see the control inputs...and especially the flaps in Murdr's film...

I havn't filmed a 51 film yet but I would bet that the flap guage works in the film...

I really would love to see the throttle settings, flap settings and control motions in films to learn from masters such as Murdr

Any comments?

yes, Murdr's a dweeb !  :t

This has been asked for many times. It was a great learning tool in AW, it would be great here. I'm sure the info is in the film, HT would just have to code it to the gauges. That I'm sure would take some time, and time is one thing that HT doesn't seem to have a lot of to play around with stuff like this.

The plane instrument panel shows film telemetry.  Though the cockpit controls don't move, you can still follow throttle and flaps with the guages.

In the film in question, I deployed flaps on 3 occasions, and was either at WEP or MAP throttle the entire film.
