Map bugs, BombSight, Score Information, Etc.
« on: April 10, 2000, 02:21:00 PM »
When I go to the MAP window and change fields, most of the time I end up
at some other field when I press FLY or HANGER button. For example, when
I highlight A11 and then select MAP or HANGER, I end up at A1. The
only way that I can make it work is to double-click on A11.

After I have dropped bombs from a Buff, I have not found any way to
get a close look at the target to watch how my bombs are hitting.
In Warbirds, we could zoom-in on the MAP view to look at the field
and the bomb-hits as we pass overhead.

I have not found any way to see the scoring results of my PREVIOUS sortie
after I have been killed or landed. I can only find my TOTAL score
by typing " .score " or going to the help/score pages.

you are better off typing .move XX (11) or the number, and then making sure you hit 11 and not 1, before you hit Enter!  If I am moving to a new base, say A23....then I type .move 23 and hit enter.  It's the same as the radio.  The Map room can be a bit ruthless....on occasion!
So use the Type commands, as much as possible.
.move xx  (xx=01 to 99..if there is 99 bases)
.radio x y  <changes x to y-which is primary>
.radio x <player ID> for private chats
.join <player ID> to join a players plane.
.unjoin <player ID> to leave....<in tower only.>

Of course, there are more, but those are the most used!

To zoom in on the MAP, try "Z" and to get even closer, use the INSERT / DELETE keys. Hope this helps......
