Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.

was the most asymmetric/unbalanced  map in rotation, poor GVs spawning network, offering huge terain and bases alt/positioning  advantage for NW team(with green in Lusche's map) ,wich i never seen reset, in 5 years,
But  the south team got reaset most of the time after losing eassy peninsula ,
 i don't miss it

It really wasn't setup for GV warfare at all except for a couple of quickly taken fields. Once those are captured no more GV action.

As for the mountains thats fine for those that like them. But give me a nice sea level airfield with wide open planes to chase down those evil enemy fighters on!

You want Mindanao, start from scratch, rebuild it with mostly GV bases in the interior. Big bases around the perimeter, more ports, carrier fleets, etc.

Yeah south always got reset and little GV action. I still liked it, but not as much as other maps that has left the rotation.

I would like to see a map shaped like a 3-sliced pizza were the geography of all 3 slices are fairly simiar.

Remember that GV spawn that put u on the near vertical side of a mountain and you'd flip over.  It was fixed btw.

I seen that reset a few times but I take your point of it being difficult.

ALERT ALERT ALERT

All the old terrains have been updated in my AH folder.  OZ, infinity, doughnut the lot.  They all have the split VH's, new trees the whole shebang.  Check them out off line.

So why ain't they using them  :noid

Because they are  large maps.

The only exception is Mindanao, prolly for the "imbalance" reasons pointed out above.

(But as a given map is up 2-4 times a tour, every country will get reset corner once in a while, so I personally could not care less about that)

So your happy as we are.  Same maps ?  Wouldn't you accept a reset corner map just for a change of pace. ?  I know I would.

When the arena split first happened I got to HATE Mindy but it turned out it had nothing to do with the map itself but the incessent furballing that the split and move to small maps created.

Now that I've gotten used to that I acually MISS Mindnao.  It was a great map among the small maps.

I don't care about the imbalance.  I'll play out of any side.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.
