i got liberals in my own fmaily...doesnt mean i hate them..or push what i like on them...but why do anti gun people have to make crude remarks on a persons thread about guns they like..or wanna shoot..or thinking about buying? one thread down there that was locked..was from a guy who was asking other gun folks what kinda pistol they liked..why did 100 anti gun people have to comment on that thread?..they dont shoot...why did they have to turn it into a anti gun thread and get locked?

Why do conservatives have to make crude remarks in threads on gay marriage?  Like I said before, there are "non-nice persons" on both sides of the aisle.  It's rare to be able to have a conversation on anything controversial in here without bumping into a few from both sides.

I HIGHLY doubt the recent thread closings are because of isolated, current incidents.  Maybe more like the straw that broke the camel's back.

Um, who exactly are you "fighting" with in this thread?
Because if it's me, and thus you take my words as "fighting words," there's another nice lesson to be had in why so many threads end up getting locked :)

ya i know,..it broke my back too..i would of never made this thread..but i couldnt beleive a guys thread got shut down for talking about what kinda gun he was looking to buy...and it got turned into a small weenis thread...lol,..and then closed due to anti gun flaming..i know it wasnt closed cause of people who enjoy shooting or giving advice on what kinda firearm they were looking for.

Hyena, they probably locked it because it's still too recently after the VT shooting. It might be that Gun threads might have to cool off for a little while. Don't worry, they won't dissapear forever.

didnt say fighting..i said..turns into a fight..instead of a debate:P..and i know its a open thread..but every thread ask you to respect otheres threads and try to be some what civil..instead of making remarks about how us gun owners have small privates..lol..and im sure thats why the other threads got locked..again..it wasnt cause of gun owners or potential new owners

your right...but again..thats another argument..should they have been armed or not?...it has allready been hammerd out..this is not about the poor kids at VT..this is about people being some what civil and letting us gun owners talk to other gun owners with out being called names...is that so much to ask for? im thinking it mite be now..lol

again,,its a open board..open threads..but even in the guide lines..ask to be civil and have a little respect and try not to drive it off subject..i guess its too much to ask for? why do people who have no guns..and hate guns..comment on a thread about buying a gun or going shooting? i would say that is off topic..lol..its like if some guy on here were to post a thread that says....hey im cooking a steak.what kinda sauce do i use? and having a bunch of anti meat folks telling the person how bad he is for eating meat...lol

What's the significance of an IN?
I mean, I understand that you want to have your post on the thread before it's locked... but why?

Goes both ways hyena

Sure the "anti gun" crowd jumps in on gun threads, but then "gun nuts" jump into other threads sayin that a gun woulda solved this or that issue beeing discussed in said thread without guns beeing a thread topic at all.

There are very few threads here that has more than one post in it that has stayed on topic for very long. Its just not the gun threads.

Oh and btw, im pretty sure more than a few of the gun threads have been started just to provoke a reply by the "anti gun nuts" even if it may not be apparent at first glance. Its called "bating" and works 99% of the time ;)

Its done to prove that you are so clever that you can see a post that is about to be closed, but not clever enough to just leave it without posting IN it. :D

You know, I think my Pourbly was probably a Liberal Pourbly!

Perhaps, I postulate, that had it not been a Liberal Pourbly the wheels would probably have stayed attached to the portly spindles.

I will ponder the problem of the poorly designed Pourbly further.

Or not.

At any rate I will positively postulate powerfully before I ever purchase another Pourbly!
