Is that thing on the bottom of the fuselage something new? (Haven't played in a while.)

I think you are looking at the rockets

The picture was a little dark so it was hard to see them

Oh, I'm used to the rockets being on the outer side of the wings, not the inner part (Looks that way).

The P-38 G and J models in the game have fuselage mounted 6 x 4.5" M8 rocktes.  The L model has wing mounted 10 x HVAR 5" rockets.

I did a quick search and was unable to find any pictures of 38's carrying rockets other than in the game... I did find a 38 F model loaded with torpedos

I only fly the "L" model, so that's why I never knew about it.

Knits ran a mission with 50 P-51s the other night.... The bish saw the darbar and upped to intercept thinking we were bombers.  The fight spanned 2 sectors and was one of the largest I have seen in the MA.

I would've loved to see the expressions and attitude change from the bishops that night.

Thanks!  I wish I would have flown closer to the main formation so I could of snapped better pics.  It was something you really only see in FSO or scenerios!

Yeah the bish were making a big push on A7 right about the time we upped in that mission.  I would of loved to hear their reaction when they realized it wasn’t just 5 or 6 high bogeys but 50 ponies rollin in!!!:D

How about my landing with no wing on water after being afk shot down? I panicked pressing my /.ef macro one inch of the ground as I got back. I'm not even sure if I pressed bailed out cause it's seperate. Flicking my switches to my bemusement it announced that I had landed kills.

Another pleasant 4hog landing
