Its been a while, but I ended my night on a positive note.

For some reason, the CV was in the wrong place in the AHF file, I actually hit it on the nose. But here are the shots.

This is from the cockpit of a Corsair that was on the deck of the CV:

My own screen shots usually suck being I don't have any kind of paint shop thing but I'm never dissapointment when I check out this topic. I get some great backgrounds for the computer  :aok

Any suggestions on some programs? Something simple and easy enough for even me.

GIMP.

It takes some time to figure out, I'm really still a n00b with it, but it has everything you could possibly need from basic cropping down to the high-quality tricks you use to make skins. And, it's a great price: free!

Those first few bring back some horrible memories...ya big meanie  hahaha

You have memories of a similar setting SPKmes? The first photos of the Ki-61-l-Tei getting his wing knocked off was a recent scenario back in MA where I was in the midst of nowhere out at sea, just had a CV firing at me giving off my position to the Ki pilot at about 7-8k range..

I went to the deck for cover to get out of the CV's range, then climbed out again. That's when the Ki catched up with me and I discovered him on my 6. Let him think I had not seen him until he was about 2,5k away, then split S into him and the fight was on.. He was too fast to follow me and after about 2 loops I had him as pics shows. One short burst infront of him (Did not see him when I fired, he was hidden below my nose at that point) then I saw parts of a wing to the left and a rolling Ki with a missing wing on my right..

The fight was over before it had started really, and the Ki pilot confirmed that by telling me on 200: "how the heck I handed that to you I don't know"..  :P

Just got aware of what horrible memories you were referring to SPKmes, I honestly did not know that was you..  :lol
Well, then you can tell your side of the story if you like?  :)
Was it the CV ack that gave off my position to you? Did you believe I had not seen you when you were closing on me etc etc?
Perhaps you have an entirely different version of it?!  :)  :salute

Haha...I was looking for some fights at a base to the west...found none and saw the cv flashing but no dar flew the sector and a half thinking either it will stop or something will pop on radar. I only saw you by total chance...wasn't sure if you had seen me till you started to rise up...what happened after that was well I don't know but you turned me inside out with no effort at all hahaha...I was totally out flown  :salute

I was also getting some odd cannon action today.

Dove at 520-ish mph after a mossie, in the dive he lost his ailerons, I lost nothing. On the first loop pass, I overshot, looped around, and nailed him once with P-39Q 37mm cannon shell:

Damage after that hit:

Rolled up and over and made a third pass, hitting again with 37mm:

Damage after that hit:

After that, I made a final pass, pinged him with .50cal, then he scraped the ground and slid to a stop, got the ditch, so no kill for me.
