hehe, the smoke was from another sortie, i made a bad decision evolving a flakker, kept gv hunting until the engine give up then crash landed in the town, i posted the crash land because i thought it looked nice

The only time I intentionally went after a Wirbel with a Hurri IID:



There were tanks at both ends of the runway, so I upped from the hangar and crossed the runway under fire.  Immediately after passing the further most hangar, a Wirbel appeared out of nowhere.  I was 200 off him and barely ready to lift off.  Dropped flaps and fired a desperation shot at closer than 100 yards.  Popped his turret just as he was bringing his guns to bear.   :bolt:
