Please excuse the graphics on these.  I usually turn the graphics to bare minimums when playing and turn up for posting screenshots, but my beer was warming up.  Priorities, you know.

Flying cap near our CV group, looking to pounce on some bombers and instead, found a P-38 up to no good:

Too bad my ailerons departed at 445 mph.  Oops.

Then I had to push some negative Gs to get a shot and the engine cut out.

So I got a kill, while dead stick and without ailerons.  Leet skillz.  ;)

This is more my style - closer to terra firma - and running for my life:

"Then out spake brave Horatius, the Captain of the gate:
To every man upon this earth, death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better, than facing fearful odds.
For the ashes of his fathers and the temples of his Gods."

Film viewer uses game files -- including the settings. You need to change the settings then go into the viewer to see the results. Then change them back before you want to play again.

Turning off things like Other Plane Skins, Shadows, Detailed Water, Detailed Terrain, as well as moving the detail sliders to the right really helps with system performance in a multi-con environment (if your system needs it).  The only advanced feature I leave on in-game is Bump Map Terrain, so I can ditch without plowing into an invisible berm.   :D

When you want to take screenshots, turn up everything to the max and then log off.  Open a film and what looked like scheisse in-game, now looks great.  You won't have to worry about stutters or screen freezes getting you killed and can post much nicer pics.  :aok

Compare this next pic to the second one from my above post:

edit: Posted that last pic an hour ago and forgot to turn off the film viewer.  Now it's night time:

New computer with pretty well a lot of the update in HD mode going.
Water reflecting the sun up to my B-29s

Update looks almost real pretty neat

Me and my squad CO Rollo doing a B-29 run

Mountains in the bomb sight

Landing my damaged B-29s, one got shot down by a crippled FW-190 with half a wing that died shortly, and this one was shot up but not down by a P-47M, got him though.    :)

I like the last one, but you need to bump your in-game resolution up then go to film viewer, take the screenshots, and drop it back down before you play again. That will get rid of the blurry textures in the screenshots like that.
