New feature proposal: Reserved place after AH crash
« on: April 28, 2007, 11:00:11 AM »
Sometimes if AH crashes or locks up you can't get back in since the max quota of players has been reached. It would be nice if a place was keept reserved for a few minutes to enable re-start of AH and logging on again.

Terminating AH normally would free up the place immediately to minimize unused reserved places.

And how do they determine the lockup is not someone hitting Alt-F4, pulling their cable or some other non-conventional way of exiting?
Most of the people you meet in life are like slinkies. Pretty much useless, but still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

They don't.
But if you are daft enough to exit your programs like that you are unlikely to play AH for long.

Anyhow, what does it matter? A few minutes extra log-in is nothing compared to the hours most spend at a stretch.
