be nice if schools actually taught history lessions properly and not just things that happened after 1970.Then maybe people wouldn't keep asking the same questions.

Also some allied skiners try to sneak swishty on thier planes with the kill markings. The blue "swiashtys" are finnish symbols and german swiahtys are illegal in germany so since HTC wants people from all over the world to play AH they dont allow them in the game.
Once known as ''TrueKill''.

Yep, He's training to be a Bubblehead at the Weapons Station.  He'll be going back to Kalifornia in 4 or 5 months.

All,
In the early 1900’s the Swastika was a symbol (Buddest? I’m not sure) of good luck. If you go to the National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC and look at the prop spinner on display from the Spirit of St Louis, You can see on the inside a Swastika and everyone’s name who worked on the aircraft. It and there signatures were there for good luck

Just thought it was interesting.

If you want to read about the history of the swastika, check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika

It is a traditional Hindu symbol for good luck and is still used widely in India.  The Nazis appropriated and perverted it so that it still stands (and probably will forever) for a symbol of hatred and evil in the west.

Rogerdee,

Since when did they teach the Finnish Airforce markings in basic high school history? How dare you come knock me over a simple question. Thats like asking what the base measurements are on The Great Pyramid. It is absurd to think a simple question will codemn you to never attending history lessons.

Flame away,

Ryan

It's also a native american symbol. One (or several) of the local tribes put up a cultural center and on the facade they had a row of swastikas in the decoration. The local jews freaked.

The swastika was also a symbol for the 45th Infantry Division before WW2 started. They changed it in 1939 to a Native American gold bird which the division got its nickname the "Thunderbird."
