The tail warning system would be practically useless in AH, i think. When someone gets on your 6 without you noticing it in the first place, you're as good as dead anyway.

I'd rather take the 60" rating for the -L or a 300gal DT :cool:
In our current lineup there's almost no difference between the -J and -L unless you want to bomb stuff.

Go grab a book.  P38D was a early model 38 with a 37mm instead of a 20mm.  


Only thing is the P-38D never was produced with the 37mm though the design specs said it was able to carry one.  Guppy corrected me on that point when I also posted once that the P-38D had been produced with the 37mm Oldmobile cannon.

yes i did google p38 lighting and i did come up with some of the versions but there was only a hand full of them, so tech they didnt realy have an impack on the war. correct me if im wrong.

The 38 Lightning is as much apart of WW2 as the 51, 47, and F4U as well as many more.
