My game got flaky with skin downloads. I don't need the Eye candy as much as I need my rounds to NOT pass through a target. How do I get rid of the skins ? Preferably without having to reload the whole game and redo all of my settings.

I have skins disabled but something since the download is hammering my FPS in an arena with 300+ in it and it didn't before. Will deleting the cache get rid of the skins and will it mess up my current game ?

Thanks, glad i am not the only one with this prob.

No new skins have DL for me for some reason.
I am not ashamed to confess that I am ignorant of what I do not know.

this last month my games been all over the place.

Last night i was hitting a plane with 20mm and nothing no damage, then he guy does a 90 degree turn and shoots and give me a wound when no others were around?

seems last few days u can unload all ammo into a plane even if its  a afk one flying level and still get no results.

ive had the problem of fireing guns and getting a mini freeze resulting on missing the tgt too.

this is a bit of a 'shot in the dark' but it may have somethign to do with the servers.

i seem to recall a few month's back it being mentioned that the servers were upgraded due to increasing numbers and at the rate the game was growing we would need more server space. not sure if thats 100% correct but it may have somethign to do the server being busy causing packet loss, i dno.

ihave found my ostwind gunning to be way out, anyone else?

I've never had a problem too much with seriously rubber bullets but tonight I unloaded an entire MK108 load into a flight of Lancs and did not finish them.

I was firing only cannon... wing roots... engines (no fire, just oil on one), tail assemlblies..... sprite after sprite of 30mm.... nothing except elevators, which jumped off in short order.

I am not a terrible shot and in this case it was some n00b who wasn't firing anyway, so I wasn't being overly cautious or relying on snap -shots.

The funny thing was... after what seemed like enough 30mm to take out an entire flight of Lancs... I hit with 1 more round in the tail-gunner's compartent of the lanc I had been working and the entire back half of the aircraft  'jumped off', parts flying eveywhere (not the usual damage for the shot that landed).

Same deal with the other two, they took an inordinant amount of damage and then the last-round seemed to absolutely obliterate the aircraft, rather than just take off the relevant part.

In the end the guy took the last lanc into a suicide run on a field and the ack finished him.

I landed with 4 cannon rounds left.

This was decidedly unusual. It seems as though some aircraft have become sponges?

I've noticed planes taking ALOT of cannon rounds, with no visible effect, i am talking of hits on the wings and elevators on planes you'd expect to in the past to fall apart.

I was unloading 30mm from a 262 a few days ago into lancs and b26s.  I was getting hit sprites but no critical damage.  It took about 8 30mm on the lanc before it went down.  Had three hits on B26 but never killed it.

I thought i was just my luck... and maybe it was.  I got so frustrated that I ended up crashing into a B26:cry

Alot of my 600 shots appear to be missing. Same lead as before..looks like its a good hit, but no sprites. Would having the grpahic sliders full right to minimum cause this?

Only thing i noticed is i'm getting a bunch of hits with F4U's (not the C) but not killing many. First month i've really flown them exclusively so not sure if it's the gun rating  or what.

This sucks, it seems i set up perfect shots and i just miss.  Anyone else having problems? :( :(

Hit percentage while in attack mode can't be used as a measuring tool for how accurate your ACM gunnery skills are.  While in attack mode you get credit for hits on ground objects like buildings, hangers, GV's.

Now hit percentage in fighter mode is an accurate measuring tool of your ACM gunnery skills because you only get credit for hits on other aircraft.

As an example, my hit percentage in Fighter mode usually average between 6 to 8%.  But my hit % in attack mode averages around 40 - 60% because i strafe a lot of buildings down in towns when trying to capture them.

So unless you are absolutely sure you have not straffed ground objects while in Attack mode you can't use hit% as a messure of your ACM gunnery skills while in attack mode.  And if all you do in attack mode is air to air and never strafe ground objects, then you should choose fighter mode instead.
