Hardware vertex processing

If I turn it on, my clipboard menu is dark and spins around crazily.  If I turn it off, the terrain flickers, objects appearing and disappearing and grass showing through concrete and such.  How do I get around this?

Like I said in the other thread, what graphics card do you use, are the drivers the correct version, and what CPU are you using? Spinning clipboards have been related to the AMD dual core CPUs that haven't had the patch installed yet. The dark effects have been related to outdated ATI video drivers.

I'm using an AMD Athlon dual core, but my graphics card is a Geforce 6800.  My drivers are up to date as of a week ago, and I'm using the latest Aces High II patch.

You'll need to have a look at the threads on top of the Hardware and Software Forum. There's a patch that needs to be installed for dual core AMD CPUs.
